Final version of the commission pic for
Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I'm honestly happy with the image now. In case you haven't played Final Fantasy VII before, the guys in the picture are Vincent, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Genesis (played by Gackt). I had a lot of trouble with this pic since I really wanted to make *sooj happy with it. Plus prior to this, I really had no idea who Gackt was, so I hope it looks like him even slightly. I am happy with Cloud's face though, but the detail is lost from the full size image ;__; Things I learned from this experience: Leather is a chore to try to paint and I suck at backgrounds. FF7AC action figures make excellent references too. Done in Open Canvas 3 and Photoshop for finishing effects. Closeups here: [link] Conveniently wallpaper-sized too! But please do NOT steal or post this anywhere else online! Do NOT reproduce it or edit this in any way. This is a commissioned piece for someone else, so please respect her and me. Awesome work on everyone though. I know how hard it is to do the leather.
You are VERY awesome at digital painting.
